Hey Sis! Thanks 🖤for visiting my blog! I really do appreciate the gift of your presence.🌹 I send you love and hope you’re able to take away something positive from your time here. ✨

Lupus is a chronic illness that I’ve been interested in learning more about for some time now, so let’s take a deep dive and learn about it together!

What Is Lupus?
Lupus is a chronic (long-term) disease that can cause inflammation and pain in any part of your body. It’s an autoimmune disease, which means that your immune system {the body system that usually fights infections} attacks healthy tissue instead.
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is the most common form of lupus.
What Causes Lupus?
Women ages 15-44 are more at risk for lupus. The exact cause is not known medically, but genetics and environmental triggers are suspected as causes of this chronic illness.
From an emotional or spiritual perspective…lupus is caused by high levels of stress, which causes inflammation in the body, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
From an inner child perspective…one of the causes of lupus is child abuse. If you were abused as a child, that would have created an enormous amount of negative emotions like rage, anger, and frustration within you that you could do nothing about. It’s like it’s still there if you haven’t sought help to resolve it within yourself.
Unfortunately….time alone does not heal that wound.
What Are The Emotions Associated With Lupus?
Some of the emotions associated with lupus are:
Rage
Anger
Frustration
Sadness
Worry
Confusion
Humiliation
Embarrassment
Depression
Anxiety
High levels of these emotional states simultaneously can cause one to be emotionally triggered easily. Learning emotional intelligence can help with this. LEARN MORE
What Triggers Lupus?
Moderate to high levels of stress
Sugar
Alcholol
Tobacco
To help decrease your triggers or flare-ups, work at decreasing your sugar, alcohol, and tobacco intake in increments instead of cutting yourself off or going cold turkey. Aim for progress, not perfection!
Psst…I’ll go into how to decrease your stress later in this blog post!
What Are The Symptoms Of Lupus?
Skin rashes
Pain or swelling in the joints
Swelling in the feet and around the eyes (typically due to how lupus affects the kidney)
Extreme fatigue (feeling very tired all the time)
Low fevers
Cognitive Impairment {You feel incompetent}
Mood disorders
Depressive disorders
Tips To Help Manage Lupus!

Well, I hope this deep dive into the chronic illness lupus was as educational for you as it was for me. Please feel free to share this post with anyone that you feel would benefit from this useful information. #sharingiscaring
